Bryce Harper was missing from the Washington Nationals' lineup on Friday. The reason? An ingrown toenail.

Before the evening tilt at Nationals Park, Nationals manager Davey Johnson told Bill Ladson of MLB.com that a doctor "took a big chunk out of his toe."

After the Nats' 7-3 loss, Harper tweeted an image of his nasty big toe and what looked to be a bloody shard of his toenail.

Due to continued discomfort -- and presumably grossness -- Harper missed out on the Nationals-Cubs game on Saturday, too.
