Will GM Stay In The 'Mad Men' Spotlight?

'Mad Men' Creator Talks GM Plotline

DETROIT- AMC’s “Mad Men” took some creative liberties last week when two small ad agencies combined to win a contract for a new product from General Motors.

In reality, Chevrolet had a nearly century-long relationship with Warren-based Campbell-Ewald from 1919-2010. In the show, star Don Draper’s Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce ad agency combines with Cutler Gleason & Chaough and landed a Chevrolet account from Campbell-Ewald referred to by its model number -- the Chevy 887 (aka the Chevy Vega).
