On Thursday's finale of "American Idol," judge Mariah Carey delivered an ... interesting performance (above).
The pop legend sang a medley of "Vision of Love," "Make It Happen," "My All," "Hero," "We Belong Together" and her new single "#Beautiful" for a crowd of excited fans. Mariah's "Idol" performance was a highly-anticipated one, but it left something to be desired: Mariah barely moved in her tight-fitting feathered gown and viewers speculated that she had been lip-synching.
Mariah Carey lip synched on a show where she judged people who are not allowed to lip synch. So disappointing.

There are two types of artists Vocalists & performers. If you're a vocalist, you should NOT lip-sync. Especially on the caliber of Mariah.

But according to her reps, Mariah's "Idol" performance was live.
"ET can set the record straight as Mariah's reps tell us she absolutely sang the entire medley ... completely live! Not only that, but we hear she delighted the crowd in between live shots by singing additional hits," Entertainment Tonight reported.
