When A Stranger Doesn't Mean Danger

I rarely get unsolicited details from my quiet seventh-grade son about his school day, so he captured my attention one Friday afternoon when he told me that, in fact, something noteworthy had happened, “but I didn’t do it.”

Uh-oh, I thought. Cheating? Bullying? A fight?
