Couple Builds Impressive DIY Walkway Using Free Scraps Of Granite (PHOTOS)

One couple bravely takes the DIY route -- for very little money.

We've come across some pretty impressive DIY walkways, but when we saw this particular path on Reddit, created by a couple in the Seattle area, we were completely floored (no pun intended). Not only is it impressive, but it cost practically nothing to make.

Redditor carycary explains that a local granite manufacturer Priceless Granite "gives away all their scraps for free." He adds that these companies "pay a lot to dispose of it. Instead, [the company] puts an ad on Craigslist and it's gone immediately." With a budget saving opportunity like that, we're not surprised.

All in all, their beautiful path is evidence that with a little bit of do-it-yourself savvy, a hefty dose of planning and a lot of teamwork, seemingly large-scale projects are indeed accomplishable. Scroll through the slidshow below to see photos of the project from start to finish, and be sure to head over to Reddit for more information.
