Susie Essman, Erica Hill, Cindi Leive Talk Women Owning Their Power

Speak up! Take credit! Own your power!

That's what comedian and producer, Susie Essman, "Today" show co-anchor, Erica Hill, and Glamour editor-in-chief, Cindi Leive, urged women to do during their panel at HuffPost's "The Third Metric: Redefining Success Beyond Money & Power" conference, which is all about coming up with a more sustainable, more holistic vision of success.

The powerful trio called for women to recognize the empires they run daily, between work and home, and to demand credit for everything they do. Women also have to stop putting themselves down, they stressed.

"We always tell young women who work in our office in meetings you're not allowed to do that thing that women always do when they're pitching their ideas, which is say, 'This probably isn't a good idea,'" said Cindi Leive, editor-in-chief of Glamour magazine.
