Michelle Obama's Hecker Is 'Rude,' Has 'Bad Manners,' Says Valerie Jarrett (VIDEO)

WATCH: White House Advisor Blasts Michelle Obama's Heckler

White House Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett appeared on HuffPost Live Thursday in conjunction with her appearance at The Third Metric, The Huffington Post's first women's conference.

Host Marc Lamont Hill asked Jarrett about First Lady Michelle Obama's response to a heckler who interrupted her remarks at a private fundraiser this week. Jarrett applauded Obama's "resilient" command of the situation and said anyone who calls out in the middle of a speech has "bad manners."

"She wanted to make it clear, 'Look, I'm not going to stand here and have you shout while I'm trying to speak,'" Jarrett said. "The audience has a choice: 'Would they like to listen to you or would they like to listen to me?' And the audience chose, of course, that they'd rather listen to the first lady."

Check out the video above for Jarrett's thoughts on the first lady's heckler.
