Kris Jenner broke down in tears on Sunday's episode of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" over claims made by her ex-huband's widow.
Back in January, Robert Kardashian's widow Ellen Pearson sold what she claimed were Robert's personal diaries to the tabloids. Those diaries painted Kris as more of a monster than a mother, complete with allegations of child abuse.
Naturally the Kardashians were furious, and on Sunday's episode viewers were able to see their reactions to what they say are completely false allegations.
The family has been fed up with their father's ex, who they say married him on his death bed, two weeks before he passed away from esophageal cancer in 2003, and wouldn't let Kris sit with her children at his funeral. This is the same woman who told the tabloids that Robert was not Khloe's biological father, and new claims of child abuse were simply the last straw.
After hiring a private investigator, Kim and Khloe learned that their former stepmother has been married five times and filed for bankruptcy twice.
“I’m not really surprised when I hear this woman has filed bankruptcy a couple times. I mean, it’s obvious motivation for her to want to sell stories. We’re definitely going to do something to stop it and that’s that," Kim told the camera during a confessional.
Armed with this information, the sisters organized a meeting with their mother and lawyer to discuss how to stop Pearson from spreading more “lies” about the family. After relaying a story of how Pearson sold the tabloids a photo that Kris had taken of the family around the Christmas tree and claimed that Kris wasn't even around (though she was the one taking the photo) the lawyer told the family they had a very good shot at proving reckless disregard for the truth and malice.
It's then that the normally composed Kris breaks down and begins to cry. "I just can't...," Kris said and threw her arms around her head. After being comforted by her daughters, Kris decides that they want to go forward with legal action.
While the lawsuit is ongoing, viewers also learn that Pearson was so desperate to avoid the lawsuit that she actually ran from process servers who tried to serve her papers.
With all this new information about Pearson, it will be interesting to see how the lawsuit plays out.
