Ken Jeong Plays A Bartender On The 'Sullivan & Son' Season Premiere (VIDEO)

'Sullivan & Son' Premiere Features Ken Jeong, Bartender

Fans of Ken Jeong's manic characters may not have recognized him at first on the season premiere of "Sullivan & Son." Jeong guest-starred as Susan's husband, Jason, who was a successful doctor. He was also incredibly buttoned down and completely incapable of relaxing or having a good time.

Susan wanted him to learn how to relax, so she pushed Steve into hanging out with him at the bar. Jason's influence -- as well as the combination of pizza and beer -- worked wonders. The only problem was that Jason immediately took things too far. He decided to quit his job.

“You don’t know what you’ve done," said Steve's mom. "You have single-handedly destroyed the Asian advantage.”

Before long, Jason had virtually the entire Asian staff of his hospital hanging out at the bar and cutting loose. But when he decided he wanted to work at the bar, Steve had a way to snap him back into reality. Being a bartender proved too much, and Jason experienced his first failure. It was liberating.

He decided to return to work, but relax more. So in the end, Susan's ploy to teach Jason how to relax worked. He just also needed to find a balance.

Jeong isn't the only network sitcom star dropping by the bar this season. Kunal Nayyar ("The Big Bang Theory") is also scheduled to appear. KSiteTV said that while "Sullivan & Son" isn't the most original show on television, it will put a smile on your face. Sometimes, that's enough.

Come hang out at "Sullivan & Son," Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on TBS.
