Iggy Pop's East Village, 1993: Star Gives Neighborhood Tour In Bram Van Splunteren Documentary (VIDEO)

WATCH: Iggy Pop's East Village, 1993

Didn't get a chance to pick up a "NYC 1993" pay phone? No worries. An EV Grieve reader uncovered this wonderful short Bram Van Splunteren video tour of the East Village from that year, guided by none other than rock star resident Iggy Pop.

Highlights include Iggy trash-talking LA, showing where he used to score drugs, speaking Spanish in Pedro's bakery on 8th and C, and discussing his new Jim Jarmusch movie "Coffee and Cigarettes."

Mostly though, it's some great footage of Alphabet City in a very different time. You can also tell just how much Iggy loves living there.

Enjoy.
