Runaway Bull Wrangled By Pedestrians In Spain (VIDEO)

WATCH: Pedestrians Wrangle Runaway Bull

The Running of the Bulls may be a tradition in Spain, but on an ordinary weekday in Malaga, residents probably don't expect to encounter a loose bull.

However, that's exactly what passersby came across near the Santa Barbara roundabout in the southern city Monday, regional newspaper Diario Sur reports. Several pedestrians captured videos of the unusual sight on mobile devices and posted to YouTube footage showing the runaway bull strolling down the busy street.

In one such video, the bull plows into a car before turning and charging at an approaching man, who happens to be wearing red. Pedestrians rush to help the man and manage to wrangle the animal to the ground.

According to local reports, the bull was in transit when it somehow got loose from its transport. However, it did not make it far down the street before the pedestrians put a stop to its escape. The bull, estimated to weigh about 440 pounds, reportedly inflicted some damage to several vehicles and at least two people sustained minor injuries.

At last year's Running of the Bulls in Pampalona, the number of reported injuries increased from previous years. Several people were gored by bulls during each day of the iconic weeklong festival.
