Since Russell Crowe has a new movie out ("Man of Steel"), he's been making the promotional rounds. Luckily, it gave us the opportunity to learn quite the interesting tidbit about the Oscar-winning Aussie -- and who apparently was his close friend.

The 49-year-old actor told The Sun that once upon a time, the late Michael Jackson was his "stalker."

"Michael Jackson used to tease me on the phone," he told the British mag. "He'd ring me and in a strong voice say, 'There is an emergency and you need to leave the building.'"

"I'd ask, 'Who is this?' And he'd say, 'Do not worry Russell, just kidding, this is Michael.'"

Jacko, a prankster? Who knew??

Crowe recently told another very amusing story, this time involving the babies used on the "Man of Steel" set to play newborn Kal-El.

"On this movie, I got farted on first. That was okay. Pissed on, that was a little inconvenient, then the topper happened," said Crowe. "Under those hot lights, it was after lunch, to be expected, and I got a handful of the essential Kryptonian material."
