Happy Fourth of July weekend! We hope you had a great barbecue, beach day or whatever you did to celebrate this country's independence. We would like to think you weren't too tied to your phone and got a chance to unplug, but we can't say we were surprised to see that many of you found time to tweet -- in some cases, about the holiday.

Albertina Rizzo had an idea for a TV show: "4th of July should feature a special presentation of 'America's Got Talons' where basically eagles soar and we watch them in all their glory." Caitlin Kelly noted the downside of separating from Britain: "Happy Giving Up Royal Weddings Day, America." And Stephanie McMaster mentioned some confusion she'd encountered: "Yesterday a British person asked me if Independence Day is when we eat a lot of turkey, so we're really sticking it to them, you guys."
