Wendy Williams took some time out of her Monday show to debunk a rumor that she is in a vicious, wig-based feud with "View" host Sherri Shepherd.
The two are well-known wig enthusiasts--they engaged in a fun wig discussion during Shepherd's recent appearance on Williams' program--but the National Enquirer alleged that Shepherd has been heard trashing Williams' new wig collection as, in the paper's words, only being "geared toward young girls and drag queens," which is not a very nice thing to say, we suppose, though young girls and drag queens are honorable members of society and often dress very nicely, so what's the problem with that?
"It's so ridiculous!" Williams told her audience, before explaining, "Sherri's got a wig line, and her wig line is out. I've got a wig line that's out softly, but it'll be out largely around late August or September. It's called Wendy Williams Hair World."
She said the whole thing was just so much bunk and bilge and balderdash. "The only truth to this is that we both love wigs and we both love each other," she concluded. To which we say, THANK GOD.
