What does it take to upstage such names as Lionel Messi and Thierry Henry in a charity soccer match? Ask Matt Eliason.

A financial analyst and former Northwestern University striker, Eliason managed to do just that on Saturday during the Messi & Friends vs. the Rest of the World friendly at Soldier Field. In the 28th minute, Henry delivered a pass to Eliason, who set himself up with his chest and scored an incredible bicycle kick goal.

"It was just a whirlwind, I couldn't believe it came my way," Eliason said, per the Chicago Tribune. "The ball popped up and I thought I'd go for it. I couldn't believe I got the opportunity. It's just an honor."

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, organizers were forced to add nine former NU players to the rosters when some of Messi's star guests were unable to make the trip.

Eliason scored another goal in the second half, and Messi recorded four himself before leaving the game in the 69th minute.
