Unfortunately for Elton John, the show may not go on.
The 66-year-old singer has postponed his summer tour due to appendicitis that will require surgery, according to his website. John is expected to undergo surgery in the U.K. in the coming weeks.
After falling ill during his European tour and consulting a doctor, he canceled his London show in Hyde Park and has begun a course of intensive antibiotics. According to his spokesman, John is "incredibly disappointed" but eager to return to his tour in September 2013.
