Have mercy, "Full House" fans!
Jesse and the Rippers -- John Stamos' character "Uncle" Jesse Katsopolis' band -- are heading back to TV this week. The boys, famous for their sentimental lyrics and leather rock vests, will reunite this Friday, July 19 on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon," People has confirmed.
A Jesse and the Rippers Twitter account (@jesseandtheripp) emerged in June, tweeting old school photos of Stamos and the so-called Rippers "backstage."
But the rumor that Jesse and the Rippers would truly reunite started buzzing when Stamos posted this video of him singing the "Full House" theme song on his Instagram, along with the caption, "Never thought I'd be singing THIS song."
We can only hope that "Late Night" recreates the Smash Club stage and that Jesse and the Rippers also sing "Forever" (complete with music video set), a "Kokomo"/"Barbara Ann" mashup , this rendition of "Forever," hip-hop, Aladdin-style (The Jess Man included), "A Little More Love" and, of course, "Michelle Smiling."
Fallon is famous for his '90s TV reunions. In 2009, after a failed attempt to get all the "Saved by the Bell" co-stars to come together (we're looking at you, Tiffani Thiessen), Mark-Paul Gosselaar performed the classic Zack Attack hit "Friends Forever" with The Roots.
The "California Dreams" cast also performed their theme song on "Late Night."
