Beyonce In Chicago: Michelle Obama, Daughters Among Audience At Star's United Center Show

LOOK: Michelle Obama Takes In Beyonce's United Center Show

Though the first lady is officially in town to visit an education and employment program targeted toward underserved students Thursday, we think a certain R&B superstar's sold-out United Center gig the previous night might also have had something to do with the trip.

Michelle Obama and daughters Sasha and Malia were in the house for Beyoncé's Chicago show Wednesday night, which the Chicago Tribune's Greg Kot described as a "giant girl-power party" complete, of course, with innumerable hits and plenty of costume changes.

Of course, the appearance of three-quarters of the first family was not about to go unnoticed by concertgoers. As the Chicago Sun-Times' Lynn Sweet notes, the Obamas' arrival was documented in dozens of tweets and Instagram photos, including this one:

How about a bit more Bey, via shots from the Wednesday show?

Queen Bey, a close friend of the Obamas, will be back in Chicago for another (already sold out) show as part of her "Mrs. Carter Show World Tour" at the United Center on Dec. 13. Meanwhile, sister Solange plays the Pitchfork Music Festival on Saturday and Mr. Carter himself, along with Justin Timberlake, plays Soldier Field on Monday.
