Protesters congregated outside Sen. Ted Cruz's (R-Texas) visit to the Iowa Republican Party headquarters in Des Moines Friday.
Demonstrators, many of whom criticized his opposition to comprehensive immigration reform, blocked the entrance to the building and were pounding on the door of the building, according to reporters and others at the scene:

Cruz's visit to the first-in-the-nation caucus state has fueled speculation that he is considering a bid for the presidency in 2016. Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), who is considering running for president, also spoke Friday.
