Sharon Stone Talks Sexuality At Age 55: 'There's A Blossoming'

Sharon Stone Talks 'Blossoming' Sexuality At Age 55

It's no secret that Sharon Stone looks decades younger than her age at 55. Whether it be her enviable bone structure, beauty routine or her on-and-off-again Argentine model boyfriend Martin Mica (oh, and he's also nearly 30 years younger), Stone appears to particularly defy her age on the cover of New You magazine, out on stands now.

In the magazine, the "Basic Instinct" actress talks candidly about this stage in her life, admitting that plastic surgery isn't necessary for her, though she's not one to judge. “I can’t tell you how many doctors try to sell me a facelift. I’ve even gone as far as having someone talk me into it, but when I went over and looked at pictures of myself, I thought, What are they going to lift?" she said. "Yes, I have come close— but, frankly, I think that in the art of aging well there’s this sexuality to having those imperfections. It’s sensual.”

Stone, who has been married twice, first to producer Michael Greenburg and then to editor Phil Bronstein, also said she has learned to embrace her sexuality, likening it to a "blossoming." "As women, we understand our bodies, and there’s a blossoming that occurs [with sex]. We’re hungry for gourmet meals instead of the fast food. We bring to life a more expansive understanding of life, ourselves, and others. We are more generous and assertive," she said.

Stone was recently photographed enjoying some downtime in Italy last week, clad in a white bikini and kaftan as she went for a boat ride on the water. She is in Italy filming the Italian-language film "Un Ragazzo D'Oro."
