Tiger Woods is aiming to add another historic number to his resume: 59.

With an unbelievable display at Firestone Country Club on Thursday, Woods is threatening to become just the sixth player in PGA Tour history to record a 59 in competition. After opening the second round at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational two shots behind leader Webb Simpson, Woods surged into the lead with a stellar display.

Woods opened his second round birdie-eagle-birdie on his way to carding a 30 on the front nine. The 14-time major champion promptly birdied holes 10, 11, 12 and 13. At that point, the #59Watch on social media was in danger of becoming a #58Watch.

If Woods could finish his round at 59 then he would join Chip Beck, Al Geiberger, David Duval, Stuart Appleby and Paul Goydos as the only players to accomplish the feat during a PGA Tour round, according to PGA.com.
