Princess Peach's Castle From Super Mario Is Worth Nearly One Billion Dollars (INFOGRAPHIC)

If you were a child of the '80s, you know this sight very well.

For years we've been feeling sad for Princess Peach from Super Mario. You know, between the whole damsel-in-distress thing, living with all those toads and of course, depending on Mario to save her from Bowser -- all while having to wear that fluffy pink dress -- it didn't look like she had it easy. That was of course until we found out that she's practically a billionaire.

Natalie Grigson from real estate blog Movoto, calculated that Princess Peach's castle, if it existed in real life, would be worth approximately $950,972,940. Grigson figured out the ideal location for the castle, the size and average price per square foot and voilà, now we know why Mario was so obsessed with saving her.

Check out the awesome infographic below, and you definitely need to head over to Movoto for more information.
