The usually lighthearted and entertaining family of Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson is going through some tough times these days. The pageant star's dad, Mike "Sugar Bear" Thompson, is currently being tested in a Florida facility for a mysterious ailment that causes him to pass out.
Mama June has been updating her fans and followers via social media constantly, on both Twitter and Facebook. On Sunday she posted on her daughter's official Facebook page:
Well everyone plz keep sugarbear in our thought as we r leaving mcintrye to head to Jacksonville to the mayo clinic to see what they will say in the am we r all nervous to c what will b done with everything will update when we hear something #nervous and #hoping for the best...
She followed up with a similar tweet the next day:
Further clarifying the situation, Mama June tweeted:
And added on Facebook that it is likely a neurological condition:
Well we r back at the hotel after the neuro appt have to go back for more tests today and we will b here all week to run tests and more appts to get the right diagnosis and treatment sugarbear needs so will update more later
Yesterday, the reality star expressed her gratitude to her fans and well wishers in several posts:

On last Thursday's episode, Sugar Bear suffered a pain so severe, he had to be admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. After a number of tests, doctors finally diagnosed him with pneumonia and pancreatitis. Despite that, reports Yahoo TV, the family insists that his potential neurological condition is unrelated to these two medical issues.
Us Weekly notes that two months ago, Sugar Bear was hospitalized after "getting dizzy and passing out" over Memorial Day weekend. A month later, Mama June shared with her fans that the doctor's report wasn't good but that she'd like to keep the diagnosis in the family for the time being.
