Tony Hale, Buster On 'Arrested Development,' Didn't Want To Lose His Hand On The Show

The One Thing 'Buster' Didn't Want To Happen On 'Arrested Development'

"Arrested Development" is known for its wacky plot lines. Buster Bluth losing his hand in a seal accident is just one of many.

But on HuffPost Live recently, actor Tony Hale admitted that he wasn't too crazy about the idea when it was first pitched to him by show creator Mitch Hurwitz.

"I remember immediately thinking, 'I like to use my hand,'" Hale told HuffPost Live's Alyona Minkovski. "I was nervous at first, but then when it became a hook, and then a prosthetic, and the next season, bedazzled, I kind of realized there was an opportunity for a lot. But at first I was like, 'Oh, that sucks. I like to use both my hands.'"

Hale also talked about how he often goes home still in character as Buster.
