Zack Craig, Oklahoma State Player, Finds Twitter Love With Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Jordan Daigle

Cowboys Cheerleader Makes Play For College Player

So a cheerleader-football player romance isn't so novel, but Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Jordan Daigle and Oklahoma State safety Zack Craig have an original story to tell.

The Tulsa World reports how Daigle (whose performing name is Jordan Elizabeth) saw Craig on TV during the coin toss of last season's Oklahoma State-Oklahoma game and made a play for him on Twitter: She followed him. He followed back. And they finally met for pizza when Oklahoma State played the Heart of Dallas bowl game in Texas on Jan. 1.

Love bloomed, and media attention has ensued.

"Sometimes I'm still like, 'Is this really happening?'" Craig told Tulsa World. "She's really determined and one of the sweetest girls I've ever met. ... She's more than I expected. She's a lot more than a pretty face."

Apparently you don't have to be a football hero to attract a cheerleader from the NFL's most famous squad. Craig, a 6-foot-1-inch, 200-pound senior safety, has had modest success on the field at Oklahoma State. Perhaps his most memorable moment was on special teams last season when he blocked two punts against Texas Tech and returned one for a touchdown.

They're now tweeting their happiness.

"So grateful for all the positive feedback we've received over our story," Daigle wrote Tuesday on her account.
