After a deliciously satisfying pizza experience, Domino's customer Jeaneth Tavares last Wednesday decided to post a photo of the pie on the company's Facebook page, just to let them know it was the "best pizza ever."
Simple enough, right? Wrong. The chain, apparently not used to such compliments, accidentally responded with this generic apology for some reason:
The Facebook post quickly went viral, and Domino's has since being accused of using computer robots to monitor their Facebook page, a theory the company denied Wednesday in an email to The Huffington Post.
"One customer service representative looked at the photo and, in her opinion, the pizza didn’t quite look like it was up to our standards, so she apologized," Tim McIntyre, vice president of Domino's communications, told The Huffington Post. "It wasn’t until after she hit 'reply' that she read the actual comment."
According to McIntyre, the Facebook goof was nothing more than an honest mistake.
"She’s learned from it and we’ve all moved on," McIntyre said.
