Beau Biden Seeks Health Evaluation After Disorientation

Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden, son of the Vice President, traveled to Houston, Texas for a health evaluation on Monday morning, the Office of the Vice President reported.

Beau experienced disorientation and weakness while on vacation last week, prompting the evaluation. Vice President Joe Biden accompanied his oldest son to Houston.

DOVER, Del. — A spokesman for the Delaware Department of Justice says Beau Biden, that state's attorney general, has been hospitalized after becoming weak and disoriented after a drive for a family vacation.

Agency spokesman Jason Miller said late Monday that Biden, the son of Vice President Joe Biden, is currently undergoing testing in Houston to investigate the cause of his symptoms.

The White House says the vice president, who had been at his home in Delaware for the past several days, accompanied his son to Houston. There was no word on how long Biden would remain in Texas.

Beau Biden suffered a mild stroke in 2010.

UPDATE -- 9:47 a.m.: Biden tweeted a photo of himself with his wife Hallie Tuesday morning, thanking people for the well wishes:
