Have You Seen Me? (Week Of 9/1/13)

Since its inception in 2011, HuffPost Crime has made it a priority to help raise awareness of missing person cases in the United States. Numerous cases are detailed within the Crime section each week.

While we would like to cover every missing case, it is an impossible task, given the number of reports filed daily. That said, we have again assembled 10 recent cases we were unable to get to this week.

Rafael Alvarez

Authorities in California are investigating the disappearance of 68-year-old Rafael Alvarez. According to police, Alvarez has not been seen since Wednesday morning, when he disappeared from his daughter's house in Santa Clara. His daughter reportedly told authorities her father started showing signs of dementia about a week ago. Alvarez is described as a Hispanic male, 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 140 pounds. He has white hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a shirt that said "Hawaii Maui" on the front, with black pants and black shoes. Alvarez did not have any money with him at the time of his disappearance, and it is not known if he is carrying any identification. Charlene Azzaro

Authorities in Broward County, Fla., are seeking the public's help in locating 56-year-old Charlene Azzaro. According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, Azzaro was last seen on the afternoon of Aug. 17 at a relative's home in Pompano Beach. Azzaro suffers from several medical conditions and has been living out of her car, a gold 2000 Nissan Maxima, with a Florida tag BJUW60, police said. Azzaro is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall, small build, with brown hair and blue eyes. Deborah Lee Crawford

Deborah Crawford, 41, of Marietta, Ga., was last seen at about 4 p.m. on Aug. 19, when a friend dropped her off at a Kmart in Canton, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports. She was supposedly picked up by a man known only as "Travis." Authorities have been unable to locate Crawford or the man. Crawford is described as an African-American female, approximately 165 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She has two tattoos — "Brent's playground" on her chest and praying hands on her right forearm. She was last seen wearing jeans and a green shirt. Authorities in Lake Wales, Fla., are trying to locate 17-year-old Amber Crosby. The missing teen was last seen on Aug. 23, in the Tower Point Apartment complex in Lake Wales, according to The Daily Ridge. No further details have been released on her disappearance. Crosby is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall and 110 pounds. She has hazel eyes and her hair color could be brown, red or blonde. Fifty-year-old Robert Hoagland has not been seen since the end of July, when he disappeared from his home in Newtown, Conn. The married father of three was reported missing on July 29, when he failed to pick his wife up from a New York airport. On Thursday, authorities announced Hoagland may have been spotted in Warwick, R.I., along Route 117. Hoagland is described as bald, 6 feet tall and weighing 175 pounds. His wallet, cell phone and car keys were left behind when he disappeared. Anyone who has seen Hoagland is asked to contact the Newtown Department of Police Services at (203) 270-4229.

Ryan Horn

Twenty-eight-year-old Ryan Horn was last seen in Hillsboro, Ore., on Aug. 29, The Oregonian reports. According to police, Horn walked out of the home he has shared with his mother since his divorce earlier this summer and has not been seen since. He did not take his wallet, but is believed to have taken a handgun. Family members reportedly told police Horn has been battling depression. He is believed to be traveling in a dark red 2002 Ford Ranger with the Oregon license plate 806 FFR. Horn is described as 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighing 185 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing dark jeans and a hoodie sweatshirt. Anyone with information about Horn’s whereabouts is asked to call the Hillsboro Police Department at (503) 681-6175. Arael Laboy

The Naugatuck Patch reports that Connecticut police are trying to locate Arael Laboy, a 13-year-old Naugatuck girl who has been missing from since June 10. According to the Naugatuck Police Department, Laboy was last seen at a West Haven karate studio. She went to use the bathroom and never returned. The teen is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall, and weighing 130 pounds. She has long black hair, brown eyes and light brown skin. Ciera Manuel

Wednesday morning was the last time family members saw 15-year-old Ciera Manuel, of New Orleans, La. According to the New Orleans Police Department's Public Information Office, Manuel left her home at approximately 6:15 a.m. Wednesday to walk to the bus stop to go to school. At approximately five hours later, the teen’s mother received a call from the school advising her that Manuel was not in school. The teen's current whereabouts are unknown. Manuel is described as an African-American female. She is 5 feet 2 inches tall, and 115 pounds. She was last seen wearing a Cohen College Prep uniform: a white blouse with a green tie, khaki pants and black and white and gray Nike tennis shoes. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Ciera Manuel is asked to contact the New Orleans Police Department at (504) 821-2222.

Justin Rodriguez

Police in Washington, D.C., are asking for the public's help locating 27-year-old Justin Rodriguez. According to Black & Missing, Inc., Rodriguez sent a mass email to friends with his "final words." He is homeless and his current whereabouts are unknown. Rodriguez is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, and weighing 200 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with any information regarding Rodriguez's whereabouts is asked to contact Black & Missing, Inc.

Renee Sheppard

Renee Sheppard

Renee Sheppard, 39, of New Jersey, has been missing since Thursday, NJ.com reports. She was last seen in the area of Miller Drive, in Washington Township. Authorities said she entered a wooded area to walk along a creek and has not been seen since. Sheppard is described as a white female, 5 feet 4 inches tall, and weighing about 110 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black shirt, dark pants, and a tan jacket. She had a book and cell phone with her. Anyone with information on Sheppard's whereabouts is asked to contact Washington Township police at (856) 256-1212.
