Davis, who also starred in The CW's recently-canceled "Cult," will play "a smart, athletic and competitive son of a decorated fireman. While on the surface outgoing, he is deep down a bit of a loner, with the soul of a poet and the mind of a mathematician." The recurring role is reportedly kicking off in late October.

"CSI" might be in need of some fresh blood for the upcoming season, following the news that longtime star George Eads will be taking a leave of absence for several episodes following a verbal fight with a writer on set.

Are you looking forward to seeing Davis on "CSI"?

"CSI" Season 14 premieres Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 10 p.m. ET on CBS and the 300th episode with Helgenberger airs Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.
