Kerry Washington Wears Wedding Ring To The Emmys, But Her Husband Is A No-Show

In honor of her well-deserved nomination, Kerry Washington's parents joined their daughter at the 2013 Emmy Awards last night (Sept. 22). Still, many were hoping that Washington's husband, NFL star Nnamdi Asomugha, would step out with his wife for the first time in public.

The couple, who secretly tied the knot in Idaho over the summer, have kept quiet about their relationship, although Washington did gush a little bit about her man in July.

"I don't talk about my personal life in the press, but I will say I'm really happy," she told People. "I'm blessed in all areas of my life."

Washington, however, did wear her wedding ring as she strolled down the red carpet in a nude Marchesa gown.

As for her Emmys date, the "Scandal" star hinted that her parents, Valerie and Earl, would be escorting her to the big event, telling People after the nominations announcement, "I have not decided who will be my date. That was my parents' question ... We'll see."
