Last week, Kris Jenner's sister, Karen Houghton, alleged that her older sister and Kris' husband of 22 years, Bruce Jenner, had finally separated.
Now, come reports that Bruce's son Brody Jenner has confirmed his aunt's claims, telling the U.K.'s NOW Magazine that the two are, in fact, living apart. Not quite so fast.
First, it's common knowledge that Kris and Bruce had been living apart, since Kris' daughter Kim Kardashian and boyfriend Kanye West moved into the couple's Calabasas mansion earlier this year, while Kim was still pregnant and major renovations were being made to Kim and Kanye's new home. With so many people in the Jenners' house, Kris rented out oceanfront property in Malibu for Bruce, as well as their daughters, Kylie and Kendall. This was all detailed on the current season of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians."
Tabloids took this as a sign that the Jenners' marriage was in distress, and when Brody spoke with NOW Magazine in early September, he said the living situation had "nothing to do with them breaking up." This was before his aunt Karen made any allegations, thus his comments don't confirm her claims and are only being dug up and rehashed and made to look like they are new.
“I stay out of their business, but as far as I’m concerned, they haven’t split up,” the 30-year-old former "The Hills" star told the magazine, according to RadarOnline, which last month reported on the interview, which is not available online. “Dad’s been in Malibu — he grew up out here — and the press has made a big deal of it."
Previously, Kris' daughter Khloe Kardashian had also commented on her parents' living situation, telling "Tonight Show" host Jay Leno in June:
"They're not having problems, but they still like to live apart, which is definitely different. You know, Bruce and my mom, they wanted some... In my house there is a man room for Lamar. A room, not a different house. So I think they took my idea and ran with it. They got another house and Bruce stays there sometimes."
