7 Neighbors Who Deserve Nobel Peace Prizes (PHOTOS)

While you can choose your neighborhood, you can't choose your neighbors. Whether you live in a city or the suburbs, you're bound to have a run-in with a fellow resident... unfortunately, it's usually the bad ones that stick out. In a world seemingly filled with an endless bounty of rude people, we're paying tribute to the good apples. Here are the seven neighbors who could just about restore your faith in humanity (on a particularly lousy day).

  • The One Person In Your Building Who Hasn't Burned Popcorn
When will anyone learn that you can't leave a popcorn bag unattended? Everyone knows that the "popcorn" setting on your microwave is so useless that it functions better as a metaphor for wasted opportunities than it does a reliable cooking timer. Flickr photo via jaytay
  • The Person Who Promptly Turns Off Their Car Alarm
Many will go off if a fly happens to buzz in its general direction, but you have to quickly address the situation when your car is the one blasting a siren into the evening. It's a form of torture, otherwise. Flickr photo via Om
  • The Person Who Let Your Friends Park Outside Of Their Home
If you live in a college town, then you know this neighbor is rarer than finding an actual parking spot in the first place. Flickr photo by Barry
  • The Person Above You Who Only Vacuums During Daylight Hours
Though not too early. 9-4pm seems to be the acceptable window. Unless this is happening, of course.
  • The Person Who Brought Your Packages In
...even though you were home the entire time and the delivery guy didn't once ring the doorbell. Flickr photo via DrewStephens
  • The Person Who Warned You About Their Party Beforehand

  • The Person Who Shoveled Your Walk

Maybe they did it out of the kindness of their heart, or they just had an awesome new snowblower. Doesn't matter. Flickr photo via OSU Special Collections
