Sesame Street fans got a bilingual treat on Thursday, with a guest appearance from Romeo Santos. The bachata crooner participated in a special Elmo sketch that involved both English and Spanish.

Romeo clearly had a good time interacting with the Street characters and treated everyone to an upbeat song. Helping a dejected Elmo make new friends, Santos sang an lively version of “Quiero Ser Tu Amigo.”

The guest slot helped celebrate October’s Hispanic Heritage Month, a theme which the Street has proudly recognized. Throughout the years, artists ranging from Juanes to Celia Cruz have made memorable appearances.

Clearly Elmo was touched the gesture. After Romeo’s “Amigo” song, he wound up making three new fuzzy friends.
