Katy Perry Will Perform At Lakewood High School After Students Won 'Roar' Lip Dub Contest

Katy Perry To Perform At A Colorado High School!

Students at Colorado's Lakewood High School were roaring with excitement this morning when they found out that Katy Perry herself picked their school as winners of a "Roar" lip dub contest, and that they would be getting a special concert.

Their video reportedly included more than 2,000 students and staff (and the school mascot -- who, coincidentally is a tiger) lip-synching and cheering to Perry's song, "Roar."

Lakewood High School originally planned to open the concert to the public to raise money for the Colorado flood relief effort but due to the contest rules, the school reportedly isn't allowed to sell tickets. So instead, Courtney Coddington -- a senior at the school and student body president -- announced that Lakewood will be challenging every high school in the country to raise $1,000 for any charity of their choice.

"This decision has been one of the hardest decisions that I've ever had to make," Perry said on Friday's Good Morning America show. "It was so incredibly crafted... The clubs, the cliques, they all came together and did their own individual thing, but it was so interesting and well done and well organized."

But if you don't go to Lakewood High School, you don't have to miss out!

Perry's special concert will be broadcast live on Good Morning America on October 25, which is also Perry's birthday.
