'The Voice' Introduces Instant Save For Bottom Three Contestants

A 'Voice' Game Changer

"The Voice" is shaking things up for Season 5 with the "Instant Save."

As explained by host Carson Daly in the video above, viewers of "The Voice" can save a contestant in the bottom three by tweeting during a specific five-minute window during the live elimination show. By tweeting #VoiceSave and the first name of the contestant they want saved, fans at home can rescue a singer who is on the chopping block. Whichever contestant gets the most mentions on Twitter will be saved.

So have your fingers ready to tweet during Tuesday's live results show, that's when Daly will announce the Instant Save Twitter window. For viewers in Mountain and Pacific time zones, follow "The Voice" on Twitter where they will also announce who is in the bottom three so you will be able to vote before it airs in your area.

"The Voice" airs on NBC Mondays at 8 p.m. EST followed by the elimination show Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EST.
