RuPaul's Partner Of 19 Years Is A Rancher From Wyoming (VIDEO)

How Drag Icon RuPaul Fell In Love With A Rancher

RuPaul may be drag's most famous icon, but on "Oprah: Where Are They Now?" he showed a side of himself that doesn't involve glitz and glam. In the above video from the episode, he says he actually wouldn't mind if he never dressed in drag again.

"It's not my passion," he explains. "The only time you will ever see me in drag is when I am -- What? Getting paid. It is my job."

However, dressing in drag has taught RuPaul this: "You're born naked and the rest is drag," he says. "Everybody is in drag."

Though RuPaul is famous for his larger-than-life performances, his personal life has remained relatively quiet. "My love life has never been of interest to people," he says. "Of course I have a love life, I have a real life outside of show business."

RuPaul says he's been with this partner, Georges, for 19 years. Georges is a rancher with a 50-acre ranch in Wyoming and South Dakota.

"I met Georges on the dance floor at Limelight in New York City, the disco," RuPaul says. "He was on the dance floor dancing like a manic. I had to go over and say, 'What are you going through?'" he laughs. "And it's also because he's actually 6'7", so he's taller than I am -- so of course I had to notice him."

"He is devoted to me, I am devoted to him," RuPaul says. "And that's the end of the story."

In the video below, "Oprah: Where Are They Now?" producers Jill Van Lokeren and Julie Simpson discuss other highlights from the episode on HuffPost Live. The producers share their reactions when they learned about RuPaul's longtime love, while host Nancy Redd says RuPaul is "living in his own rom-com."

"Oprah: Where Are They Now?" airs Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on OWN.
