Dwight Howard Makes Free Throws In Practice When He Doesn't Think Anyone Is Watching (VIDEO)

By Chris Yuscavage, Complex Sports

Dwight Howard is one of the worst free throw shooters in the NBA during actual games. He's so bad that opposing coaches have employed the "Hack-a-Howard" strategy at various times this season and sent him to the free throw line on purpose in order to try and erase deficits during the third and fourth quarters of games. But almost every single time he goes to the line, whoever is calling the game refers to the fact that Howard is a great free throw shooter in practice. For whatever reason, it just doesn't translate to games.

Now, we have proof of that. Check out the video above to see Howard shooting free throw after free throw after free throw before a game earlier this week. And what do you know? HE'S SINKING ALMOST ALL OF THEM! Basketballs are flying all over the place, people are doing work on and around the court, and there are a million and one other distractions. And yet, Howard just continues sinking free throws. It's baffling, to say the least.

If you don't believe that sports are 80 to 90 percent mental, this video proves otherwise. Can you imagine how good Howard would be if he could actually focus and do this during games?!
