Ahmad Brooks: RG3 Should Not Be Playing (VIDEO)

'I Don't Think He Should Be Playing'

After getting couple of hits on Robert Griffin III on Monday night, 49ers linebacker Ahmad Brooks said he didn't think the Redskins' quarterback should have even been on the field.

"He's obviously a man and he makes his own decisions and whatnot. I personally don't feel like he should be playing right now man," Brooks said after San Francisco's blowout win, via CSNWashington.com. "I just don't think he should be playing... And you can see it. Everybody can see it."

RG3 was sacked four times and hit seven times against San Francisco (plus this low blow) as Washington never made a single trip to the end zone in a 27-6 loss at home.

Nearly a year removed from major knee surgery, the second-year signal-caller has been put under heavy scrutiny while struggling through the Redskins' 3-8 season. While facing criticism over his leadership skills and a supposed rift with head coach Mike Shanahan, Griffin has already thrown 11 interceptions after only throwing five in his rookie season. He also leads the league in fumbles lost.

Even former Redskin star Sonny Jurgensen thought RG3 should have been benched in the middle of Washington's listless performance against Philadelphia last week.

Do you think it's time for RG3 to rest more and take a seat on the bench with the team's playoff hopes just about out of reach?
