The number one rule of holiday dressing? Don't look like a Christmas tree ornament.
But Gwyneth Paltrow is above rules, and she has no problem laughing in the face of such sartorial restrictions. The actress co-hosted a charity dinner for Kids Company with designer Matthew Williamson on Monday night, turning up in one of his bedazzled floor-length gowns to help unveil the epic Christmas tree Williamson had decorated with the help of his famous friends.
As Paltrow stood in front the glimmering tree, it was hard to distinguish between the embellishment of Gwyn's dress and the actual ornaments (which were designed by the likes of Paltrow, Sienna Miller and Zaha Hadid, to name a few). Not only did the star manage to pull off this holiday "oops," but she actually made the tree look even cooler.
So there you have it, kids: Gwyneth Paltrow is better than all of us.
