Chicago Woman Wounded By Stray Bullets While Inside Apartment

A 20-year-old Chicago woman was shot in the stomach and the side of the chest Monday evening while she was inside her apartment.

According to ABC Chicago, the woman was in a back room of her apartment on the first floor about 10:30 p.m. when stray bullets came through the window in the 7200 block of South Lowe Avenue in the city's Englewood neighborhood.

The woman was taken to an area hospital where she was last listed in stable condition, WGN reports.

The shooting wasn't the only one in Englewood Monday night. Less than an hour later, about 11:20 p.m., a 17-year-old boy was walking in the 700 block of West 60th Place when two men approached him and shot him in the chest, according to DNAinfo Chicago.

The 17-year-old was listed in "serious-to-stable" condition, a police spokesman told DNAinfo.

No arrests have been made in either shooting as of Tuesday morning.
