Oprah's Book Club 2.0 has a new novel to add to its ranks in 2014 -- and it's a book Oprah loved so much, she decided to select it as the third pick for Oprah's Book Club 2.0 before she had even finished reading it.
The Invention of Wings is a powerful novel written by Sue Monk Kidd, author of The Secret Lives of Bees.
"It is going to 'wow' you," Oprah says in the video above. "I think you're going to love this book because it is layered, it is gripping, it's historical and based on the real-life Grimkes from pre-war Charleston, South Carolina."
The Invention of Wings -- "Wait until you find out what that title's all about," Oprah says -- will be released on Jan. 7, 2014. The January issue of O, The Oprah Magazine features Oprah's interview with Kidd, who will also appear on an upcoming episode of OWN's "Super Soul Sunday" airing next season.
