Takeout Foods On The Rise (And Fall) In 2013

Nobody likes you anymore, cucumber salad.

Pretty much every site that's devoted to food (us included) has probably written more than you ever needed to know about Cronuts and kale at this point. But what about the foods that perhaps once were popular but are now waning?

Online food delivery company GrubHub catalogued the 75 most popular dishes of the year. Out of these dishes, the company found the 10 dishes that declined the most in orders from 2012 to 2013. Turns out, nobody likes you anymore, cucumber salad:

1. Cucumber Salad – 18% less common in 2013
2. Pulled Pork Sandwich – 17% less common in 2013
3. Italian Beef – 14% less common in 2013
4. Tom Yum Soup – 10% less common in 2013
5. Vindaloo – 9% less common in 2013
6. Kung Pao Chicken – 8% less common in 2013
7. Pad Thai – 8% less common in 2013
8. Spicy Tuna Roll – 7% less common in 2013
9. Miso Soup – 7% less common in 2013
10. Chicken Tikka Masala – 7% less common in 2013

But as people were kicking pulled pork and Italian beef sandwiches to the curb, they found different foods to hold in high esteem. Butter chicken -- you've been looking good recently:

1. Butter Chicken – 15% more common in 2013
2. Cannoli – 13% more common in 2013
3. Cheesesteak – 12% more common in 2013
4. Buffalo Chicken Sandwich – 10% more common in 2013
5. Chicken with Broccoli – 9% more common in 2013
6. Macaroni and Cheese – 9% more common in 2013
7. Cookie – 7% more common in 2013
8. Gyro – 7% more common in 2013
9. Shrimp Tempura Roll – 7% more common in 2013
10. Wings – 6% more common in 2013
