While the Chicago Blackhawks are the undisputed stars of the hockey rink, several members of Stanley Cup-winning team are showing off their movie star chops (or -- sorry Sheldon Brookbank -- lack thereof) for the holidays.
In a newly-released video featurette (embedded above), the team's "Magical Movie Collection" is somewhere between a late-night infomercial and peyote-fueled daydream that shows the Hawks re-enacting their "favorite" movies, like "Thor," "The Karate Kid," "The Princess Bride" and "Silver Linings Playbook."
Patrick Sharpe pulls a pretty convincing Batman (despite the unfortunately lumpy Batsuit), while Patrick Kane shows his acting skills are on par with those of "Star Wars" leading man Hayden Christensen as he thoughtfully strokes his Padawan braid playing Anakin Skywalker.
As for which Hawk turned in the most convincing performance, the Oscar definitely goes to defensemen Nick Leddy for really getting into character as Napoleon Dynamite.
In a surprising revelation, one of the Hawks actually does have real-life acting experience. Blackhawks forward Brandon Bollig appeared in 2002's "Defiance" where, as RedEye notes, the former child actor plays a 12-year-old who loses a father.
And while "The Blackhawks At The Movies" is a hilariously awkward chance to see the hockey stars ham it up and show off a little personality, most of the fellas should probably stick to their day jobs.
