Michigan State quarterback Connor Cook giftwrapped a touchdown for Stanford linebacker Kevin Anderson late in the second quarter of the 100th Rose Bowl on New Year's Day.

Cook was immediately pressured after taking a shotgun snap from his own 45-yard line and was hit as he lofted an ill-advised throw over the middle of the field. The pass appeared to be intended for running back Jeremy Langford, but Anderson was the only one near it. The junior from Palo Alto, Calif. returned the interception 40 yards for a touchdown to give the Cardinal a 17-7 lead.
