Magazines are meant to inspire us, showcasing the most of-the-moment, aspirational styles we should be wearing.
Nowhere is this more apparent than on Cosmopolitan's covers, where fashion editors spent the better part of 2013 making a case for crop tops. The latest cover model, Ariana Grande, is featured on the February 2014 issue, smiling (slightly uncomfortably) in a black crop top and matching skirt. Like we said, midriff-baring is a major theme for Cosmo -- the mag also put six other stars, including Lauren Conrad, Kim Kardashian and Kelly Osbourne, in similar looks this year alone.
With all of the appearances crop tops made on the Spring 2014 runways, we shouldn't be too surprised with Cosmo's affinity for the mildly risqué style. But the question remains: Has Cosmo convinced you to wear a crop top yet?
