Synchronized Swimmers Make For The Best Indie Music Video Stars

Synchronized Swimming Is The New Indie Music Video Trend

Hunters did it, Y La Bamba did it and now the Bombay Bicycle Club is doing it. "It" being recruiting synchronized swimmers to turn their music videos into magical homages to underwater choreography.

For their latest single, "Luna", BBC invited the acrobatically-inclined group "Aquabatix" (get it?) to create a dreamy synchronized sequence of splashing, gymnastics, vintage costumes and even a little pyrotechnics. The entire video was directed by Anna Ginsburg, who imagined the gorgeous pool setting. What can we say, we're suckers for a good underwater routine, and the idea of indie musicians teaming up with filmmakers and unconventional performers just makes our hearts swell.
