After a record-setting campaign in which Manning and the offense racked up passing touchdowns, passing yards and points at a blistering pace, the Broncos will look to avenge one of their three regular-season defeats when they host the Chargers at Mile High in this all-AFC West divisional-round playoff game. After securing a first-round bye as the top seed in the AFC, the Broncos were nearly double-digit favorites after the Chargers dispatched the Bengals in the wild-card round. The Chargers struggled to reach the playoffs, clinching a spot late on the final Sunday of the regular season but were one of just three teams to defeat the Broncos.

"Do we believe we can win (again)? Yes,"Chargers safety Eric Weddle said of the AFC divisional-round playoff game, via ESPN.com. "Do we know what a tough challenge it is and how great we have to play? Yeah. It's not just because it's happened in the past it's going to happen. You still have to play at a high level and do the things necessary as a team to win."

The Broncos may have Peyton on their side but the Chargers have the Philadelphia Eagles. In each of the last three seasons, the team to play the Eagles in their opener has gone on to win the Super Bowl. The schedule makers gifted the Chargers that lucky slot in 2013.
