Skeptics rejoice: yes, chocolate actually can be good for you! Ellie recommends dark chocolate, which naturally contains a high amount of flavonoid, which is great for your complexion.
"The darker it is, the more health properties it has, but also the more bitter the chocolate becomes," Ellie said. "The ideal balance is a chocolate that is about 70% cocoa solids. Anything darker than that is too intense," she shared.
Ellie also employs her "three finger" serving size rules, meaning that the amount of chocolate you should eat per serving should be approximately the size of three fingers, or one ounce.
