Pregnant Woman Arrested In Stolen Truck Went Into Labor When Driver Crashed: Police

Pregnant Woman Arrested In Stolen Truck

A baby in Dearborn Heights, Mich., may have literally been born into a life of crime.

His mother was riding in a stolen Dodge pick-up and went into labor when the driver crashed the truck after driving the wrong way down a one-way street, ClickOnDetroit.com reported.

The driver crashed into two cars parked at a Red Lobster and finally coming to a halt after hitting a utility pole, Dumb As A Blog reported.

Three of the suspects fled the scene on foot, but the woman, whose name has not been released, stayed in the car and preceded to go into labor, according to SundayWorld.com.

All four suspects were quickly arrested and the pregnant woman was taken to the hospital, according to the New York Daily News.

No further details have been released, but the pregnant suspect is not the first woman to have a bizarre run-in with the law while carrying a bun in the oven.

In May, 2012, a very pregnant Stephanie Irene Santana was accused of driving while intoxicated, child endangerment and possession of a controlled substance.

Santana, 20, allegedly left her 10-month-old child in the car so she could get a tattoo. She was allegedly drunk at the time.
