Carrie Fisher Says She's On Board With Mark Hamill And Harrison Ford To Film New 'Star Wars'

Did Carrie Fisher Just Confirm A Huge 'Star Wars' Rumor?

As "Star Wars: Episode VII" rumors continue to infiltrate the galaxy, it seems Carrie Fisher has gotten right to the punch. During an interview with TV Guide about upcoming appearances on "Legit" and "The Big Bang Theory," Fisher said she's set to pick up her lightsaber again in March or April -- and so are her old co-stars Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford.

"I'd like to wear my old [cinnamon buns] hairstyle again -- but with white hair," she told TV Guide. "I think that would be funny."

It has been rumored that Fisher, Hamill and Ford will reprise their roles as Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker and Han Solo, respectively, for the new J.J. Abrams-directed "Star Wars" movie, but their involvement has not been confirmed. Recent reports suggest the likelihood of "Episode VII" centering on the trio instead of their offspring. (That news comes in the wake of writer Michael Arndt handing script duties over to Abrams. The latest rumors indicate "Episode VIII" and "Episode IX" will zero in on the trio's children instead.)

Abrams has said that the movie will begin shooting in May. "That's the current plan," the director said this past weekend at the Television Critics Association winter press tour. "We have our script and we're full steam ahead."

Hamill wasn't as direct during a Reddit AMA on Wednesday. When asked to respond to Fisher's statement, the 62-year-old actor said, "The only character I know for sure is returning is my friend R2-D2. He hasn’t stopped beeping about it."

Similarly, Ford isn't giving up the details either. During a November appearance on "The Late Show with David Letterman," the actor emphasized that he was "only in three" "Star Wars" movies. When Letterman pressed him about whether he didn't want to do another one, Ford said, "Well, for a long time they didn’t ask me. So, imagine how I feel."

Though Hamill wouldn't spill about the latest "Star Wars" chapter, he offered other tidbits about his experience with George Lucas' saga. Here are some highlights from Hamill's AMA:
